Senior Team Mathematics Challenge 2011 (Regional Final)Four Abbey College Cambridge students competed in the 2010 - 2011 Cambridge Regional Final of the Senior Team Mathematics Challenge held on 11 November 2010 at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, University of Cambridge.
The Abbey College Cambridge team finished in 2nd place out of
the 25 teams entered in the competition.
The team gained a total of 54/60 in the first round, 78/80 in the
second round and 60/60 in the last round. It is likely
that these scores will be sufficient for a place in the
National Final, which is due to take place on 2
February.
The Abbey College Cambridge team comprised:
LE Thuy Duong (Vietnam; Upper 6th)
TAN Jiann Meng (Malaysia; Upper 6th)
TANG Yuchen (China; Lower 6th)
YING Guanhao (China; Lower 6th)
The competition was sponsored by the UK Mathematics Trust and the
Further Mathematics Support Programme.
