InformationHistory of Abbey Cambridge
Abbey College Cambridge was founded in 1994 to provide tutoring for students preparing for admission to the Oxbridge Colleges and the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry.

Ever since it's foundation as a tutorial college in 1994 Abbey College Cambridge has developed and maintained an outstanding record of academic success. In 1996 the college moved to new premises in Glisson Road and was designated an independent 6th form college. The college has since grown rapidly, acquiring new buildings in Station Road, Regent Terrace, Cambridge Place, Norman House and most recently in 2011 a residential facility in Milton Road. In 2010 the college was redesignated as an independent school after inspection by Ofsted who graded us Outstanding, and again in 2011 as an independent boarding school.
The college aims to provide a Gold Standard of education to all of its pupils in a well-equipped and stimulating environment where staff and students work together to achieve academic excellence. Students are treated as mature young adults and classes are taught by highly qualified tutors with a wealth of industrial and academic experience. The goal is that all students achieve to their full potential.
The standard of teaching and learning is excellent such that the College regularly achieves outstanding examination results. In the past eight years 45 of its students have gone on to the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, with a further 67 gaining admission to the Medical (45), Dentistry (8), Veterinary Medicine (5) and Law (10) schools.
Abbey College Cambridge is a constituent college of the Abbey DLD Group of Colleges, which is in turn part of the Alpha Plus Group.
