Duke of Edinburgh Training Expedition

This weekend Abbey College Cambridge Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award candidates finished their training by camping, trekking and canoeing in the wilds of a windy Cambridgeshire countryside. This was the final expedition before the students’ qualifying expeditions later in the year, where they will journey across a wild and unfamiliar area for up to four days, all the while working as a team by navigating, camping and cooking for themselves (under supervision by Abbey College Cambridge staff of course). The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a globally recognised qualification that helps developa student’s skills and confidence and is highly valued by universities and employers alike. Abbey College Cambridge is a DofE Directly Licensed Organisation, providing both silver and gold awards. Find out more by visiting the Duke of Edinburgh Award site here.
