Patrick Williams

‘I enjoy helping students to improve their levels of English so that it is suitable for university study. Abbey College Cambridge has a unique ethos and character, and I am proud to be a part of it.’

Patrick completed his BA in English Literature and History at Goldsmiths College, University of London and has achieved CELTA and DELTA qualifications alongside a Postgraduate Diploma in TEFL from the University of Birmingham.

Prior to Abbey, Patrick taught English abroad, both in schools and various multi-national businesses. He has worked in Poland and Turkey and in Further Education in the UK.

Patrick is interested in music, reading, cinema and travelling.

September 2026 Scholarships

We are now accepting applications from local students for September 2026 entry scholarships at Abbey College Cambridge.

Abbey College Cambridge Scholarships Open

Generous scholarships are available for local students — for 13+ entry (Year 9), awards may be up to 100% of tuition fees. For  Year 12 entry there are scholarships offering up to a 20% discount.

Our scholarships recognise academic ability, critical thinking, teamwork and community contribution and are awarded based on performance at our assessment day on 29th January.
