Whilst you study you will become a full member of our diverse student community, with access to our exciting extra-curricular programme of weekly clubs, sports and activities, evening lectures, and university study preparation sessions.

Upon completion of your studies, you will receive a comprehensive academic report and completion certificate to take home. If you enjoy your time here, you can also choose to join the full GCSE or A Level course and complete your university studies in the UK or at home.

Course overview 

You will be joining students from around the world studying on our established GCSE (14–16 years) and A Level (16–18 years) programmes. Your weekly study programme will be a combination of academic subjects and English language lessons.

Full board accommodation will be included in one of our college boarding houses.

The fees listed cover tuition and boarding for the stated duration of study.

UK EDUCATION SYSTEM

The UK education system has a world-wide reputation for quality, with universities such as Oxford, CambridgeUniversity College London (UCL) and Imperial College London consistently ranked in the world’s top ten. By studying at Abbey College Cambridge, you will be provided with an unrivaled opportunity to gain entry to the best universities the UK has to offer and make the very best start to your career.

Explaining UK Qualifications

A Level (Advanced Level) courses can be studied over two years or 18 months. A Level courses are the most commonly used qualifications for entry to UK universities.

The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a one year course specifically designed for direct access to study at UK universities. A large portion of our IFP students go on to study at the elite ‘Russell Group’ of top UK universities.

GCSEs (General Certificates of Secondary Education) can be studied over one year, two year or 18 month periods. Many universities will ask for at least 5 passes at grade C or above for entry (often including GCSE Mathematics and English passes).
