Dr David Shah

Abbey College Cambridge Director of Studies David Shah

Director of Studies

‘What I value and, therefore, genuinely enjoy about working at Abbey College is the individual attention that is given to each student, and the positive manner in which students embrace this constructive mind-set.’

David achieved a first class honours in History from the University of Leeds before completing his PhD in Renaissance Political History at Leeds and Universita Ca’ Foscari Venezia.

David has worked in various capacities in the sixth-form sector since 2003. He was previously Director of Studies at CATS College and MPW Cambridge. As one of our Director of Studies, David helps our students plan their progression to their intended university course and future career. He also teaches A Level History.

David is passionate about history, be it in reading or travel, as well as staging ‘living history’ events at local primary schools and talks (mainly ancient history related) at institutions like the British Museum.
