Helen Walker

Director of Boarding

Helen Walker BA (Hons) was educated at The King’s School Peterborough. She studied History at the University of Surrey before starting her teaching career. As a teacher of History and Religious studies, Helen taught at schools within Peterborough before becoming a Head of Department. Having lead a successful department for 5 years Helen decided to focus on the Pastoral care of young people as a specialist in Boarding and Safeguarding.

Helen joined Abbey College Cambridge in 2016 as Director of Boarding and joined the Senior Leadership Team in 2017.

Helen is proud to lead the Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ boarding provision with a team dedicated to caring for and supporting the; social, emotional and physical development of the Abbey students.
