Juliette Calow

“I am very excited about joining Abbey Cambridge this year. I love working with international students and learning about their different cultures. It is a privilege to teach them English and to help them become confident users of the language.”

Juliette began her teaching career over thirty years ago in a small town in rural China. Since then, she has taught in many different contexts, including state schools and private colleges in England, and international/bilingual schools in China. She has been a Head of English/EAL for nine years and, prior to joining Abbey Cambridge, led a Foundation Diploma Programme in Oxford, preparing international students for entry into some of the UK’s top universities.

In her spare time, Juliette enjoys spending time with her family, cycling and walking in the countryside, listening to music, and cooking and eating food from around the world.
