Sephora was born in Malta, but grew up in Australia. She received her BSc Science and a Diploma in Education from the University of Melbourne.

Before joining Abbey, Sephora worked for many years as a science teacher in comprehensive schools in London and for one year in Bedford.

Outside of the college, Sephora enjoys travelling, taking long walks in the Cambridgeshire countryside, listening to music and photography.
