Serena O’Connor

Head of Art

‘It has been a pleasure to teach such interested and hardworking students a variety of new techniques as well as being able to introduce them to a wide variety of differing artists and styles. Most rewarding is to be alongside them and witness how their confidence and ability grows as they start to develop their own creativity and ‘voice’.’

Serena holds a BA (Hons) in the History of Art and a Postgraduate Certificate in Art Psychotherapy from the University of London. She completed her PGCE in Art with Creative Arts at the University of Cambridge.

Before joining Abbey, Serena was Head of Art at the Friend’s School in Saffron Walden. Her hobbies include painting, printmaking, ceramics, music reading and walking her dogs.
