Tauhida is passionate about ensuring that every student is given the support, challenge and opportunities they need to achieve their academic potential. Her experience as a Housemaster at ACC has reinforced her belief that academic progress is explicitly linked to strong pastoral support, a vibrant boarding experience, enrichment and knowing each student as an individual.

She studied Politics at Queen Mary University of London before completing her teacher training at the Institute of Education, UCL. She has taught Politics and held leadership roles in GCSE provision and UCAS at an international school in Mayfair, before joining Abbey College Cambridge as Housemaster of Neptune House and Teacher of Politics where she has championed the student voice in the college.

As Assistant Principal Academic, Tauhida is particularly interested in teaching and learning, academic progress and developing effective study strategies that help students become confident, independent learners. She believes strongly in high expectations alongside appropriate support, and in creating an academic culture where students are encouraged to be curious, resilient and ambitious.

Outside school, Tauhida enjoys running, pilates, reading, and travelling with her family; discovering different countries and cultures.
