  • Outstanding A-level examination results - 2010

  • Abbey College Cambridge students gained outstanding results in the 2010 A-level examinations. The grade A* pass rates was 32.2%, and the A*A and A*B pass rates were 70.0% and 82.2% respectively. Nine students gained grade A* passes in 3 or more subjects. Six students have been admitted to the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

  • Outstanding performances in Mathematics - 2010

  • Abbey College Cambridge students gained 65 passes in Mathematics at grade A*A; 42 passes in Further Mathematics at grade A*A; 29 passes in the Mathematics Advanced Extension Award, with 11 Distinctions; and 21 passes in the Sixth Term Examination Papers, including 4 papers graded Outstanding and 7 papers graded I across Mathematics I, II & III.

  • Oxbridge Admissions - 2010

  • Six Abbey College Cambridge students have been admitted to the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge in October 2010 to read Engineering (3), Mathematics (2) and Physics (1). A further 21 students have been admitted to Imperial College, London, (7), the London School of Economics (5) or University College London (9).

  • University Destinations & Academic Prizes

  • Several of our students gain major prizes and academic internships. In 2010, these included the Physics Summer School at the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge. In 2009 they included the Shire Prize, awarded by the Royal Society of Chemistry, and an internship at the University of Heidelberg, awarded by the City of Cambridge.
