20th March 24

Abbey College Cambridge alumnus Sonya delivers talk on banking and finance careers

On Thursday 14th March we welcomed former Abbey College Cambridge student Sonya back to campus.

Sonya, who is originally from Korea, took a break from her undergraduate studies at Queen Mary, University of London to deliver a fantastic talk on ‘Breaking into Banking and Finance’ to a receptive audience of Abbey Cambridge students and teachers from our Finance Pre-Degree Diploma Programme.

At Abbey College Cambridge we create a strong focus on developing the future careers and employability skills of our students alongside their academics. Since graduating, Sonya has certainly been putting those lessons to good use, having secured work placements and internships at top financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs and the Bank of England whilst she completes her undergraduate studies.
