After a rigorous application process and audit, Ellen Hesse and Abbey College Cambridge have been welcomed as a full member into HMC (The Heads Conference).
HMC is a thriving, proactive association of heads at some of the world’s leading independent schools. The name of the association derives from its annual meeting at Conference, which is a condition of membership.
HMC is a kitemark of global quality, innovation and excellence in education. High standards are expected of both schools and members. A rigorous accreditation process helps to ensure and maintain the high quality of HMC member schools.
Central to every HMC school is a commitment to the benefits of a holistic education experience: including academic excellence and exceptional co-curricular opportunities.
Through the application process, it has been recognised that Abbey College Cambridge holds these qualities as part of its ethos and the school will now benefit from the extensive opportunities from being part of such a prestigious association ensuring high quality training for our staff and being able to network and share best practices with many like-minded schools across the UK and world, such as Charterhouse, Eton College and Lancing College alongside our Cambridge HMC neighbours, The Perse School, Stephen Perse Foundation and The Leys School.
Ellen and the college community is looking forward to working with HMC and continuing to review and improve the outstanding education and the Abbey College Cambridge experience that our students receive.
