Abbey College Cambridge Class of 2025 Celebrates University Success

Abbey College Cambridge is proud to share the incredible university success of our Class of 2025. Across both our A-Level and International Foundation Programme cohorts, students have demonstrated academic excellence, ambition, and global outlook – earning places at many of the UK’s top-ranked universities and prestigious institutions around the world.
Across both programmes, our students have achieved remarkable outcomes: 69 students progressed to Russell Group universities, with 17 securing places at elite G5 institutions including the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, The London School of Economics and Political Science, Imperial College London, and University College London. A total of 7 students will be studying Medicine, and 10 students are heading to leading international universities. Overall, 45% of students progressed to UK Top 20 universities, 70% to Top 30, and 80% to Top 50 institutions – reflecting the strength, diversity, and global reach of our academic community.
A-Level Success
Our 2025 A-Level cohort of 104 students has achieved remarkable university progression:
- 43% progressed to top 20 ranked UK universities
- 71% secured a place at a top 30 ranked UK university
- 82% progressed to a top 50 ranked UK university
- 66% gained entry to Russell Group universities
- 17 students gained entry to elite G5 universities (University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, London School of Economics and Political Science, Imperial College and University College London)
- 69% secured places at either a top 20 ranked UK university or a Russell Group university
- 2 students secured places to study Medicine
- 8 students progressed to leading overseas universities
Where are they going?:
Our students will be joining a diverse range of universities, including The London School of Economics and Political Science, University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, University College London, University of Bath, University of Warwick, and King’s College London. Notably, 12 students are heading to University College London, 11 to King’s College London, and 8 to the University of Southampton.
Internationally, our graduates will be studying at institutions such as the University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Chulalongkorn University, and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

International Foundation Programme Achievements
With a total cohort of 67, our International Foundation Programme (IFP) students have also achieved fantastic outcomes this year:
- 34% are progressing to UK Top 30 universities
- 66% have secured places at Top 50 universities
- 39% are joining Russell Group universities
- 5 students will be studying Medicine
- 2 students are heading to international universities
Where are they going?
Our Foundation students are heading to a wide range of respected universities, including the University of Bath, University of Warwick, University of Exeter, University of Aberdeen, The University of Edinburgh, University of Southampton, and King’s College London. Notably, 8 students are progressing to City St George’s, University of London, 6 to Queen Mary University of London, and 4 each to the University of Manchester and University of Leeds.
Internationally, students will be joining institutions such as Hult International Business School and St George’s University Grenada, continuing Abbey College Cambridge’s tradition of global academic success.

These results are a testament to the ambition, resilience, and talent of Abbey College Cambridge students, as well as the dedication of our staff. Our graduates are now preparing to take on new challenges at world-class universities, both in the UK and internationally.
