Dr Ben Reid

After studying for a degree in Physics at the University of Oxford, Ben went on to complete a PhD and three years of postdoctoral research in the University’s Quantum Optoelectronics Group. During this time, he also enjoyed the opportunity to teach at university level, giving tutorials to undergraduate Physics students and supervising Master’s students. These experiences inspired him to pursue a career in teaching.

Ben has taught in schools in both London and Bristol before joining the Physics Department at Abbey College Cambridge.

Outside of college, Ben enjoys cycling, hiking, and exploring the Cambridgeshire countryside.
