Destination History at the University of Cambridge

“The main takeaway from my two years at Abbey has been cultivating my independence. Academically, that meant having the freedom to develop intellectually, whether that be by attending Abbey Inspires, lectures within the Cambridge University History department, MUN conferences or partaking in discussions with likeminded peers. Being in an environment where students and staff alike are motivating has allowed me to build on my existing interests, but also foster new ones.

In the often-daunting Oxbridge application process, Abbey’s UCAS team and their access to extending both intra-curricular and external support was hugely influential.

On an inter-personal level, Abbey has allowed me to mature. You learn to take care of yourself, navigate the competitiveness of academics, your future, and your relationships. Besides that, built around the University, Cambridge is the perfect city to live in as young adults. Taking advantage of everything the city has to offer has been a highlight of the past two years and staying here for another three fills me with excitement!”
