“The medic program was very useful in helping me apply to medical universities as it had made the whole process more straightforward.

During the programme we did various things that would help with our application including finding work experience, carrying out a mini EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) and practising for the interviews. These all contributed to me writing my personal statement and building my application.

The mock interviews we did were one of the most effective. It helped me prepare for the real medical interviews as it helped build my confidence at answering unexpected questions. The medic teachers also offer great advice on how to approach questions differently.

In addition, I really enjoyed going to the work experience at hospitals and GPs that we applied during the medic program. It was a refreshing and meaningful experience to see how healthcare operates in the UK.”
