WHAT'S ON
On Wednesday 6th November, our Year 12 & 13 Art and Photography students visited the The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge to enrich their A Level studies.
They explored the Made in Ancient Egypt exhibition, discovering the craftsmanship and creativity behind ancient artefacts — from decorated coffins to jewellery and sculpture — and how these timeless techniques still inspire artists today.
Students also analysed works by Salvator Rosa, Georg Flegel, and Paulus Moreelse, developing their understanding of artistic style and meaning. Sketches and photos captured throughout the day will inform their future projects.
