Celebrating Creativity at Abbey College Cambridge! 🎨
We’re incredibly proud to announce that two of our talented artists, Dari and Iris, have been recognised in the Rotary Young Artist Competition 2026 – a national celebration of creative expression across the UK.
This year’s theme, “Happiness in Nature,” inspired young artists to capture the joy, serenity, and wonder of the natural world… and our students truly shone.
🥈 Second Place - Senior Section:
Dari - “Polygon Mountain”
Her striking acrylic painting blends polygonal structure with expressive texture to celebrate the uplifting power of mountains and golden skies. Judges praised its contemporary energy and captivating interpretation of the theme.
🏅 Highly Commended - Senior Section:
Iris - “Canyon”
A powerful mixed‑media piece using charcoal, chalk, pen, and acrylic on parcel paper, evoking the raw beauty and emotional depth of canyon landscapes. Judges admired its atmosphere, texture, and technical skill. Both artists have shown exceptional creativity, vision, and confidence - qualities that make our art community so inspiring.
