Student of the Week: Iris 🌟🎨
This week we are celebrating Iris for her outstanding dedication, creativity, and community spirit within the Art & Photography department. She has consistently worked above and beyond in lessons - meeting every deadline, producing inventive and beautifully crafted outcomes, and showing a genuine commitment to improving through feedback.
Outside of class, Iris has been an incredible support to the school community. She helped at the Year 11 Options Fair, assisted with setting up the new Photography classroom, and even prepared university-level portfolios that she kindly allowed her teacher to use as exemplar material for future students.
Iris also represented the department at the November Open Day, confidently speaking to parents and students about the value of studying creative subjects.
She regularly attends Abbey Inspires Support sessions to push herself further and meet her target grade, showing real perseverance and drive.
Beyond her academic strengths, Iris has shown kindness and maturity by helping a new student feel welcome - the beginning of a lovely friendship. She is reliable, hardworking, helpful, and endlessly positive. We are delighted to recognise her achievements - and we’re so glad she was nominated again! 🌟
