First Aid Training at Abbey College Cambridge

4th February 20

Abbey College Cambridge students have been receiving first aid training from St John Ambulance at weekends.

36 students have been trained over the past couple of weekends, in addition to the 20 students who received the training in September.

They now all have a 3 year first aid certificate and can carry out CPR if needed.

The training course is provided for free for students by Abbey College Cambridge. First Aid is an invaluable life skill, and also an attractive skill for Abbey College Cambridge students looking to progress on to medical school to study to become doctors.

Abbey College Cambridge has a proud recorded of preparing students for medicine, and Abbey students achieiving offers have a 100% medical school progression success rate in the past couple of years. In 2019 we sent our first student to the prestigious medicine course at the University of Cambridge.
