26th June 26

Students from Year 9, Year 10 and our Pre-sessional Programme took part in an inspiring two-day Careers Fair, designed to develop their entrepreneurial thinking, career awareness, and confidence in preparing for the future.
Day One: Enterprise Day – Building the Future
The event began with an exciting Enterprise Day, delivered by Form the Future, where students explored the theme of “Future Cities.”
Working in teams, students stepped into the role of entrepreneurs, developing innovative ideas to address future challenges before transforming them into viable business and service concepts.
During the morning, students collaborated to generate creative solutions and refine their ideas. In the afternoon, they focused on bringing their concepts to life by developing branding, marketing strategies, and pricing models.
The day concluded with team presentations, where students confidently pitched their business ideas, demonstrating impressive creativity, teamwork, communication skills, and commercial awareness.
A huge thank you to Form the Future for delivering such an engaging and inspiring day, helping our students develop essential enterprise and employability skills.
Day Two: Looking Ahead to Future Careers
The second day shifted the focus from entrepreneurship to the changing world of work.
Students explored a range of industry sectors, analysed labour market trends, identified areas of future growth, and considered the increasing impact of artificial intelligence on different careers.
Using their research, each group created and delivered persuasive presentations, making the case for why their chosen sector represents a strong and future-proof career path. The quality of discussion and presentation showcased students’ growing confidence, critical thinking, and ability to communicate complex ideas.
Preparing Students for Their Future
The Careers Fair provided students with an invaluable opportunity to explore both enterprise and future career pathways while developing skills that will support them throughout their education and beyond.
