Abbey College Cambridge GCSE Results 2018

GCSE students at Abbey College Cambridge, one of the UK’s leading international colleges, are celebrating their results.

From a total of 149 GCSE examination papers sat by Abbey College Cambridge students:

  • 49% were marked at A*-A (9-7) grades
  • 68% were marked at A*-B (9-6) grades
  • 87% were marked at A*-C (9-4) grades
  • The college’s overall (A*-F) pass rate was 99%

College Principal Dr Julian Davies was justifiably proud of his students’ achievements, stating; “GCSE students represent our youngest cohort here at Abbey College Cambridge. Alongside the academic rigours of the syllabus, many also face the additional challenges of living in new country for the first time and learning in their second or third language.

Once again our students have stepped up to the challenge and achieved fantastic results above the national average that will prepare them to take the next step in their studies. I must also pay testament to our outstanding team of teaching and support staff, whose hard work and dedication allows our students to live, learn and thrive.”
