Abbey College Cambridge Speak English Week

Speak English Week 2019

The annual Abbey College Cambridge ‘Speak English Week’ celebrations ran from the 4th – 10th of February. This is a week of fun activities designed to help and encourage our students to keep practicing and improving their English language skills. This year students got to learn about the spooky side of Cambridge with a special colleges ghost tour (hosted by a real ghost I’m told!). In the hall we hosted a house points quiz (won by the team from Juno House – go lions!) and a creative arts competition, magic show and practical magic workshop. The week was finished with our ever popular poetry and creative writing competition, with students from across the year groups showcasing their own bold and spellbinding compositions based around the theme of ‘dreams’.

Abbey College Cambridge Abbey Inspires

What is Abbey Inspires?

Abbey Inspires is a programme of weekly evening lectures and activities delivered by our teachers and guest speakers. They are optional and often feature topics not covered within the traditional GCSE/A Level/IFP syllabus. I’ve included images via the download link showcasing some recent events to give you a flavour of what’s available to ACC students. If you want more information please contact me.
