Exceptional A Level Results

18th August 22

Students and Staff at Abbey College Cambridge are once again celebrating an exceptional set of A Levels results over what has been an unprecedented two years of study culminating in the first external exams to be sat since 2019.

The triumphant students have achieved an amazing 31% at A* grade with 60% of grades being A*/A.  91% of grades were A* – C.  With a 98% overall pass rate.

Students are now waiting to hear confirmation of their University destinations, but we expect that the majority will be continuing their studies in the UK at Top Univeristies, with a third of students progressing to G5 Universities.

Vice Principal Academic at Abbey College Cambridge Andrew Humphris, commented: “Once again Abbey College Cambridge students have achieved extraordinary results and my biggest congratulations to them all.   They have worked incredibly hard over the last two years in unusual circumstances and for many faced sitting public examinations for the first time. Also a massive thank you to the teaching staff for their dedication to ensuring our students receive top quality teaching regardless of whether they were in the classroom or remote.

I am confident that our students will go on to achieve brilliant things. We wish each and every one of them the very best of luck and look forward to hearing about their future accomplishments.”

The majority of students at the college are from over 45 different nationalities, so over the two years of study many students have been study in online from their home countries at some point or sacrificed seeing their families and stayed in the UK.  This makes these results even more incredible.
