Strong GCSE STEM results showcase academic success at Abbey College Cambridge

Abbey College Cambridge is celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results, with 76% of all grades awarded 9-6 and an amazing 93% of grades awarded 9-4. The school attained particularly impressive outcomes across its STEM subjects as well as in a broad range of academic disciplines.

Students performed particularly well in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, highlighting the strength of the College’s academic provision and the hard work and determination of its students.

93% of grades awarded to Biology students were 9-7 and an amazing 100% of grades awarded were 9-4.

Chemistry also delivered strong results, with 71% of grades awarded  9-7, whilst in Mathematics, 65% of grades were awarded 9-7 , with an impressive 100% awarded  9-4.

Physics students also secured impressive results , with 67% of grades awarded 9-7, and 83% awarded 9-4.

The College is also celebrating excellent achievements across the wider curriculum. In Art and Design, 80% of grades were awarded 9-8, while 100% of grades were awarded 9-4. English Language also achieved a 100% 9-4 success rate.

These results reflect the College’s commitment to personalised learning, expert teaching and supporting every student to achieve their academic potential.
