Introducing Our New College Matron

Continuing Abbey College Cambridge’s traditional of providing outstanding pastoral support to our students, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Dawn Kent as our new College Matron.
Dawn is already well known around college, having previously worked as a Senior House parent in our Purbeck House halls of residence. In her new role Dawn will be based in our medical centre and work in partnership with our college pastoral team to create an environment that promotes healthy living, as well as responding to healthcare needs of individual students.
Speaking about her exciting new position Dawn commented; ‘I am very pleased to take on this new role with responsibility for our student’s health and wellbeing. It feels a natural extension to the care and support I have been part of for the last 3 years in our boarding. I will continue to offer reassurance to families that our commitment to their daughter s and son’s health and general wellbeing is as strong as possible.’
