University of Oxford Success for Joshua

Many congratulations to Year 13 student Yue Fung Joshua on receiving an offer to study Earth Sciences at St Hugh’s College, University of Oxford in September.
As well as the University of Oxford, Joshua has also received offers to study at Imperial College London, University College London, University of Durham and the University of Exeter.
Joshua who is studying A Level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Geography, joined Abbey Cambridge at the start of Year 12 from school in Hong Kong and is predicted to receive all A*/As.
On speaking about Abbey College Cambridge Joshua commented “I really appreciate all the support I have received from my teachers. My subject teachers have provided me with the opportunities to ensure I have the high predicted grades required for my target universities. My UCAS tutor supported me with all aspects of my application from personal statement to Interview preparation. The mock interviews allowed me to improve the way I approached the interview questions.
The Chemistry Olympiads and Challenges I participated in helped develop my critical thinking which was also valuable with my application.
I am delighted to have received offers from five top Universities and look forward to studying in Oxford in September.”
