Foundation students visit the Coca-Cola Factory

1st February 16

International Foundation Programme students

Our Abbey College Cambridge International Foundation students recently took a trip to visit the UK Coca-Cola Factory and Education Centre. During the trip to the factory, which is based in Milton Keynes just outside of London, our students learned about the business of Coca-Cola and also the science and engineering behind the packaging of the product.

As part of the visit, our students got to see the companies’ 9 production lines in progress, they produce an amazing 210,000 cans per hour, and supply 48 million cases of soft drinks per year. Then they took a trip to the Coca-Cola boardroom to look at how Coca-Cola brands and markets its products across the world. The visit culminated with the students working in teams to create their own soft drink which they then pitched to the rest of the group.
